When I came here, it was crowed, small, claustrophobic, roach infested. The buses, the houses, the toilets, everything. After 8 months of living this way, a small village looks like a big city, the taxi’s seem like too much of an indulgence and the buses? Luxury. It wasn’t till my travel buddy echoed my ‘newbie in africa’ thoughts that I realized I have changed and adapted so much. If being in a small town like this can make me feel starry eyed like this, I wonder how I will deal with good old Bangalore. I call this the case of the african eyes.
