Tis the season to be jolly

30 Day Writing Challenge

We work with a parallel team in the US and so on Friday, instead of working, we ushered in a company outing out of the city – which was fantastic because who doesn’t love lakes and trees and hills to climb? I went out in full spirit and did everything, got looked at like I’m a weirdo because instead of sipping cocktails with my fellow lady colleagues (which I did), I first wanted to play sport and climb the hill up to look at the view. This resulted in a sprained right thumb (OW! OW! OW!) which prevented me from posting this yesterday but I’ll make up for it by posting more photos than I originally intended. Hope you’re having a good thanksgiving weekend and haven’t been too trampled in the Black Friday madness. For those who aren’t American? What have you been doing this weekend?

Thank you. The best way to save money is to not live in America during Thanksgiving? πŸ˜€

Nice story and photos. Ok, what I’ve done this Weekend. The sunday starts now, it’s 9:40. Yesterday I had to install a new dishwasher in the kitchen, today is advent pastry and we’re visiting perhaps an Christmas market. So a dream job Sunday…

You’ll have to explain what a Christmas pastry is. It sounds yummy but I can’t be sure. It does sound like a dream sunday. Hope you have a good time at the market!

I have to practise my english…
We’re baking in the weeks before Christmas cookies with spices like cardamom small, ginger, cinnamon and sugar or chocolate casting. this is an old tradition. but some times very time consuming. At the end of the Christmas time, you have much problems with your weight…;)

Haha, that does sound really yummy. I’ve had this when I was in Freiburg. Definitely causes weight problems! Hope you put up photos of the market! Happy Sunday!

I traveled to my son’s home for Thanksgiving. It was nice not cooking for once. Safe trip there and back. Did not do any shopping. πŸ™‚

Sprained thumb, huh??? Surely not from climbing the hills!! πŸ™‚ Or did you play cricket, and tried legspin like Anil Kumble? πŸ˜‰ I had a hectic but fun weekend too…went to a place called Chinatown for some awesome Chinese breakfast early in the morning! πŸ™‚

It was from climbing the hill and then foolishly playing volleyball with about 15 million boys. What is chinese breakfast?

My sympathies… πŸ™‚ Calcutta is the only Indian city to have its own Chinatown! And, there everyday at crack of dawn, some of the chinese sell amazing chinese food on the street…usually its dim-sums( dumplings), meatballs, Bao and momos….winter is ideal time to visit..

Yeah, it is a pity we don’t have a Chinatown. I know how amazing they can be from my visit to other countries. Lucky you!
