Paddling Out

I spent the most part of my Sunday looking at flight tickets to Japan. No particular reason really. I was on the site to try and book tickets for England but then wondered what it would be like to visit the other side of the globe. That’s the thing with wanderlust. It just hits you at the most random times.

Before I knew it, it was well past my bedtime and I will still staring at the computer, unable to shut it down and go to bed. If it wasn’t for Monday, I might have stayed with the travel site all night. It would have been so romantic to catch a sunrise together.

Damn you, Monday!

I spent the most part of my Monday staring wistfully at this map and hoping that one day, my real life map will look somewhat like my WordPress reader map.

One day. Soon.

Oh, you get me so well! I do this quite often too. Just sit in bed on my laptop, searching for plane tickets and motels. And start doing all the math of when will I ever be able to go there and so on.

  3. Japan is a great place to visit. I was in Tokyo and surrounding cities last spring during sakura (cherry blossom) season. Beautiful.

I say do it! Go to Japan.

“my real life map will look somewhat like my WordPress reader map.” Now there is an ideal I like! I didn’t know my stats even had that in there till I read your line above and then I had to go look. If I look at it over a year’s time, that would be a lot of places to visit. You have such fun thoughts πŸ™‚

  12. I haven’t checked for a flight in a bit. Lately my journeys have been more sallies through old memories more than anything else. In one such sally I remember this thing I read on Labyrinths and thought to add it here. I was thinking that it would be nice if you had a page dedicated to labyrinths as seen through writings pictures etc. Anyways here is the quote

β€œAnd why wander in these labyrinths? Once more, for aesthetic reasons; because this present infinity, these “vertiginous symmetries,” have their tragic beauty. The form is more important than the content.”
