Work From Home Essentials

Those of you with whom I’ve stayed in touch offline know that I have been working from home for the past year. It was the best option for me as I was living between two countries, and I needed a job that let me work from anywhere.

This WFH option is a farcry from the 4 years I did when I was back in Bangalore, looking after my grandma. For one, I am now an Editorial Manager (I know! Fancy!). Secondly, they actually pay me what I ask for, without throwing a huge tantrum on how expensive it is, how anyone can write and so the fees are not justifiable, or worse, just disappearing after a project is completed. However, people who are now forced to work from home are giving me a serious case of envy because they all seem to have set up lovely home offices that they are not shy to share on Instagram.

And so, here’s my version of their posts. The only addition? The Claw!

How are you dealing with the Covid-19 lockdown? Would love to hear from you.

  1. Luckily I’m retired, so the only thing I really miss are frequent trips to the library. Cindy, however, has started teaching her classes on Zoom. I told her to wear work clothes, not her pajamas. She was not amused.

For me, it’s business on top, slumber party at the bottom, especially during video calls!
