I didn’t want the last post on my blog to be a recap of the past, and so, here’s a 2022 post. It’s already February, I know. But, it’s Lunar New Year – so a fresh start is warranted? It’s also the Year of the Tiger = my Chinese Zodiac. So, I’m going for it!

Now we’re in year 3 of the pandemic, we gotta do what we gotta do to keep things interesting. Although the UK has decided that Covid no longer exists on this island, no one else has got the memo. And so, it’s work as usual!

Thankfully, I have such illustrious friends as the Classical Gasbag who reminded me that Groundhog Day was a thing and so instead of working in search of inspiration to fuel my work, I watched it – LIVE.

And so, with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, I took a virtual trip to Gobbler’s Knob. What a journey!

If there was one thing I learnt from the mid-week celebration, it’s that everyone is in the same mood about work/the pandemic/life in general as I am. In a world where the news is the way it is, it is really heartnerning to find this kind of community.

Once all the singing and day-drinking dancing was over, it was time to wake Punxatahwney Phil up for his annual prediction. He seemed as displeased with his painting as I am of photos Adam takes of me.

Good old Phil then made his prediction! 6 more weeks of winter 😭😭😭

Well, at least he’s cute!

And now, back to work I suppose.
